Looks like there's more banning going on for 360 owners. Bans started yesterday and appear to be mainly affecting people playing backups on the Live service and games before their street release date, though this is not confirmed at this point. So far we're seeing well over 200 confirmed bans. These seem to be console bans and not account bans. This means that they are banning your console only, you can still use your gamertag on another system.

If you're not familiar with the ban process we'd just like to clear up a rumor on how to avoid a ban. If you've already been flagged for a ban it will happen the next time your system is connected to Live. Keeping your system off, or just disconnected from the network,  for a few days or weeks will not stop a flagged account from being banned.
